My Travel Essentials

So on the 16th of July I am off on holiday to Corfu, and thought I would share with you my travel essentials.
So from top to bottom, the first product is De Bruyere after sun lotion which smells so nice. I have already tested a little bit, It left my skin so soft so I'm looking forward to using that after being in the sun. This product is £9.48 - http://www.glossybox.co.uk/brands/de-bruyere/after-sun-lotion-monoi/ (Just to say all 3 products are from my Glossybox). Next is the Ladival sun protection spray, as soon as I saw this I knew I was going to use it for my holiday & I can't wait to use it. It's great for sensitive skin, water resistant, protects against UV-A & UV-B. I have SPF 15 medium. You can buy this from Boots at £13.50 - http://www.boots.com/en/Ladival-Sun-Protection-Spray-SPF-15-150ml_1643075/ And lastly I have the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer. I have the sample size, you can buy from Boots at £24.00 for the 50ml -  http://www.boots.com/en/Origins-GinZing-Energy-boosting-moisturizer-50ml_1327088/ I started testing this when I got it, it leaves my skin so soft and smooth and smells so lovely! And because it's the sample size it's the great size to take with me on holiday.

The next product I will be taking away with me is the Zoella Let's Spritz body mist from her Tutti Frutti range. I love this product so much, I've had it since last year and it's still lasted. It has such a nice fruity summer smell and only costs £8.00.. bargain! http://www.boots.com/en/Origins-GinZing-Energy-boosting-moisturizer-50ml_1327088/

Next onto make-up. I only tend to wear a full face of make up in the evenings on holiday and just mascara in the day. I have the MUA pro brow kit from Superdrug that only cost me £3.50, I've had this for about a year now & still going strong. Next is the Essence mosaic compact powder which I'm enjoying using at the moment, I also got this in one of my Glossybox's - http://www.glossybox.co.uk/brands/essence/mosaic-compact-powder/ Then I have the Naked 3 eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay, I got this as a Christmas present & I adore it! I love the colours, and I believe you can buy this for £38.00. For foundation at the moment I'm using Collection lasting perfection which has SPF 20. It's an oil free foundation & doesn't make me look orange neither does it make me look more pale! I brought this from Boots at £5.99. I also have the concealer which is £4.19 from Boots. Then onto Primer I use the NYC perfecting primer which I brought from superdrug but can no longer find! Argh. But this primer has been really nice on my skin, makes it soft and not wet like past primer's have and was affordable too. The mascara I am taking away with me is the Lash sensational luscious by Maybelline, I've not had this product for that long but so far liking it! I brought it from Boots at £7.99. Lastly onto lipsticks. I am taking a day time lipstick which is by Collection 'Vintage Rose' and the night time one also by Collection 'Sugar Plum'. Both brought from Superdrug at £2.99. Both lipsticks I love & really affordable.

So apart from the products mentioned above my other essentials would be, a pair of sunglasses, a hat, suncream, and a book! I will be of course going holiday shopping soon for more products and holiday clothes. Are you going anywhere sunny this year?

I hope you enjoyed my blog post & I'll blog soon.

Flip flops & Sandy toes

On the 8th of May it was a beautiful day in England, which is shocking considering all we have is rain! Me and my best friend, Fran went on a road trip to West Wittering's beach in Chichester. I had never been before but I knew many people who had & said it's lovely. It should've taken us 30-45 mins to get there but as it was a sunny day everyone had the same idea as us & it took us 2 hours to get there! We were sat still in traffic for ages, chocca blocka! A truck drove past with a sign saying 'sorry beach car park full, sorry for the delay'.. great. This car park is a field can I add, it's massive!

We suddenly saw cars upfront off roading their cars on the side of the road on a bit of grass so we did the same and asked other people if it was ok to park here. It was then about a 20 min walk from the car to the beach. When we were walking into the beach's entrance, there were still cars sat still and the car park was full. So many people. We got lunch first we were so hungry. There is a cafe on site but we decided to get food from a food hut next to the cafe. They sold fish & chips, burgers, we both got chicken nuggets & chips which was £6.00 & a bottled drink for £2.00, which for me personally is a bit expensive for food! But it was yummy.

Then down to the beach! Ahh the feeling of sand between your toes and the smell of BBQ's. We put our towels down, chilled, people watched, took photo's, it was really nice. I did walk to the sea and dipped my toes in, no more than that the water was cold! Afterwards we then got an ice lolly & headed back home.

If you are thinking of going to this beach, I suggest you leave very early in the morning to avoid traffic and maybe take a picnic. I know me & Fran will be doing that next time! I have left some photo's below.

Second star to the right and straight on till morning.

So it's a bit late blogging about this seeing as this happened in December 2015, but better late than never.

So on the 10th of December last year, me, my sister, mum & dad went to Disneyland Paris for my 21st. We travelled from Southampton airport early in the morning, and when I say early I mean my eyes were stinging and the airport was like a ghost town! Our flight was delayed by an hour due to fog on the other side. It was a bit of a bumpy start because of the weather but I tried to stay calm whilst my sister distracted me by talking about cheese. It worked!

When we arrived at Paris airport we got the Disney coach which took us to our hotel. We stayed at Hotel Cheyenne which was a 20 mintue walk from the park or a 5 minute ride on the shuttle bus. We checked out our room before heading to the park. Our room was quite nice, it had a double bed & a bunk bed which me & my sister slept in. It had a bath and shower, and a cute cowboy boot for a lamp!
Link to the hotel - http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/hotels/disneys-hotel-cheyenne/

First we stopped at the Disney Village to have lunch, we went to New York Style Sandwich where me and my sister shared a pizza. Super yummy. Then off into Disneyland to explore! And then for dinner we went to Annette's Diner. And then back to the hotel to sleep after a very long day!

Next day, we had breakfast in the hotel like we did every morning. You had a card with a selected time to go and have your breakfast, this was so there were tables free for everyone. The breakfast was a buffet, there wasn't too much to choose from so everyday I just had Frostie's and lot's of hot chocolates! Healthy. On this day we went to Walt Disney Studios. A lot of things were shut due to them being broken or being refurbished. (Which was slightly annoying!). And in the evening we went to the Rainforest Cafe which is my favourite!

Then on the weekend we did Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios on our last day and in the evening went to Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Cafe for lunch on our last day. And back home, boo!

It was an amazing trip that I'll cherish forever!
I tried to upload some photo's by the uploader didn't like me!

London

So on the 22nd of January & the 23rd me and my boyfriend Matthew went to London. On the Friday we travelled by coach from Southampton, we went to Chinatown for dinner and went to a resturant with an all you can eat buffet. We went into the M&M store, watched some tricks on the street then walked round Covent Garden as it's pretty at night. Then we travelled to our hotel. We stayed at a Travelodge in Hounslow.

Then on the Saturday we went to the Science Museum, Harrods, Hamley's, Piccadilly Circus, back to Covent Garden to a frozen yoghurt place called Snog that I love! Then to the Tower Of London and across the Tower Bridge, and of course on the way there we stopped for a hot chocolate.

It was a lovely 2 days, taking lots of photo's, creating memories, and lots of walking. So when you go to London even if it's just for a day, wear comfortable shoes! In Covent Garden's tube you have a choice to take the lift or the stairs, we took the stairs because I am claustrophobic. Didn't realise it was 193 steps! I died. (I'm not a fit person).

I have posted some pictures below!

Frances.

Frances. Who is Frances? What is this blog post about? This is about my best friend, Frances.
*Inserts picture below*

I am a soppy person at times so if you don't like these sorts of posts or don't want to hear about her click off now! Me & Fran have now been bestie's for 9 years. How I have put up with her and she's put up with me I don't know. We have a load of memories and more to come. She is my rock.

How did me & Fran become friends you ask? It's a bit of a weird story. It was year 7 at school in English, I was sat on a table with her and a boy, she had joked about my pencil case which was Little Miss Naughty from the Mr Men and asked if she could borrow something like a rubber. And it went on from there, I took her to my house and said to my mum 'this is my best friend' from about a few days of knowing her.

I was very shy at school and a bit of a geek, I didn't like to get into trouble. I was an easy target at school and got bullied. It wasn't easy between me & Fran at the start of our friendship as people would call her names for being friends with me, and if that happened to most people they wouldn't want to be friends with me but Fran stuck by me all the way and I couldn't thank her enough. There were so many days I would've gone home crying or feeling miserable but when we were friends she made me laugh and not mind school. (Ok that was I lie I hated school but you get what I mean).

We were still bestie's when we left school, we went to the same college (not planned, just luck). And when we both moved onto working, first boyfriend's did get in the way but it's your first and for a while you're in the 'honeymoon' stage and swept off your feet because it's all new. But we're still going strong.

So to end this post, because I really could go on explaining loads of memories but you won't find it funny! This is a message to you Fran..

Thank you for being my rock. I feel like I've lost an arm not speaking to you for a few days or even seeing you. Thank you for always being there for me when I was down. Thank you for accepting me. Thank you for laughing with me (or at me). Thank you for not judging me. Thank you for always sticking with me at school. Thank you for the memories and the thousand photo's. Thank you.

First Festival

So last month me & my friend went to our first festival. I saw lots of posters everywhere in Portsmouth for Bestival and googled the line up & thought it looked amazing. It was from the 10th to the 13th of September. It was £195 ticket, I know right.. woah. Then the added cost for them to send you the ticket. Like why? It should be free postage! Then getting your essentials that you need for the whloe trip. I had no idea what to take, I looked up for some blog posts but there were hardly any so I asked my cousin as he had been to a festival before.

So we went into town together and got the useful things like a bumbag, deordrant, dry shampoo, baby wipes. And did our food and alcohol shop. If I went to a festival again I don't think I'd go for as long, I think 4 days was too long for me, I was a little bit homesick by Saturday. And I'd also take less alcohol. You were only allowed your drinks in the campsite which sucked as the drinks in the bars were not cheap.

So lets tell you all a bit about our time away! Day 1 Thursday - I had work in the morning so we catched the ferry from Portsmouth in the afternoon. When we got there we got the shuttle bus to the site and tried to find a spot to pitch our tent, had some food and got an early night. We thought we had chosen a good spot as we were right by the loo's & near the stage site entry. By day 2 we realised it wasn't a good idea as it would've been more quieter further away.

Day 2 Friday - was the day we went and explored where everything was and checking our Bestival app to see who was on.

Day 3 Saturday - this day was my day as it was the day all the artists were on that I wanted to see. I'm not sure if it was Saturday but the Chuckle brothers were amazing. Just FYI.

Day 4 Sunday - this was my friend's day and the day we were heading home. After seeing Missy Elliot in the evening we headed back to camp to take down the tent & head back. It was pouring it down with rain! When getting to Ryde Pier to catch the ferry back we were drenched & had to wait until 1:15am back to Portsmouth. Even though I didn't get home till gone 3am I was indeed very happy to see my own bed instead of the floor.

One thing I have not missed since Bestival is the smell of weed and using the toilets. I was prepared for bad which it wasn't too bad. But it wasn't nice at the same time. We had the eco loo's near our campsite which is basically a wooden block with a loo seat on it and underneath is a bin, it all gets made into compost. It just smelt like a farm than poo. But I'm not going to explain that!

I would go to a festival again but maybe not for as long, in a group or maybe just with someone that enjoys the same music as you.

But a few tips, I don't think you'd need much money. I took £150 and came home with £70. Take cereal bars or something for breakfast/a snack. Dry shampoo was useful. Baby wipes because you're not washing for a few days, and a bumbag came in so handy! I also didn't wear wellies I just wore an old pair of Vans.

If you have any questions leave them below! I'll post a few photo's here too.
